CropLife India is a not-for-profit industry association, wholly funded by its member companies — 17 R&D-driven organizations that are global leaders in crop protection and agricultural innovation. The association works in close collaboration with CropLife Asia and CropLife International, representing a worldwide network across 91 countries, united by the mission to advance sustainable, safe, and science-led agriculture. Our initiatives focus on promoting the responsible and judicious use of crop protection solutions under the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach, with key emphasis on Product Stewardship, Progressive Regulation, Intellectual Property Rights, and Data Protection. At CropLife India, we believe that a sound regulatory framework forms the foundation of agricultural growth and innovation. The pesticide regulatory ecosystem — spanning national, regional, and international legislations — plays a pivotal role in ensuring safety for users, consumers, and the environment. A predictable and science-based regulatory environment determines how swiftly Indian farmers can access new technologies and remain competitive globally. India’s regulatory system for crop protection products is among the most robust in the world, backed by highly knowledgeable regulatory officials. It continues to evolve in alignment with FAO/WHO guidelines, striving to harmonize with global standards. This ensures that Indian farmers have access to the latest innovations, with proven efficacy, quality, and safety on par with their global counterparts.
