Personal trainers Pete Rohde and Jesse Humphrys had been working in the Adelaide fitness industry for a number of years before stumbling on CrossFit, and it was love at first burpee. Not only did they personally reap the rewards of this revolutionary training program, but they began to introduce it to their clients as well, and it wasn’t long before they realised that the limited equipment and space available to them at their current workplaces restricted their progress. In mid 2012, Pete and Jesse decided the best way to offer the full CrossFit experience to their clients was to open their own CrossFit Box. Opened for business in January 2013, CrossFit Proficient was born out of a passion for CrossFit methodology and a desire to provide clients with the best environment possible to succeed in their health and fitness goals. At CrossFit Proficient, it’s not just about getting the fastest time or lifting the heaviest weight, there is room for competition but you won’t find any egos or bad attitudes. What you will find, is a team dedicated to supporting you in your goal to be the best you can be, in the gym and at home.
