CROSSING (CRS, Founded in 2014, CRS is an innovative SME, Spin Off of Cà Foscari University of Venice (UNIVE). Specialized in sustainability in the field of green chemistry, circular economy, for zero waste processes, she is dedicated to the implementation of sustainable technologies for packaging solutions in eco-compatible bioplastics, green tanning agents, antibacterial/antimicrobial surface treatments. CRS boasts numerous nationally and European funded projects and several registered patents. The core business and the company's activities are-Development of the "know how" for large-scale industrial production of innovative processes/products for packaging, active packaging, biobased polymers, leather, antimicrobial and wearable fabrics, antifouling paints, drugs, biomaterials, and fine chemicals. Crossing has patented numerous innovative solutions/products that improve the environmental sustainability of the industrial practices used by various production sectors-Development of R&D projects, with public or private partners. Each project develops highly innovative know-how which is used by the partners, usually on an exclusive basis. Exploitation of the resulting intellectual property will give CRS royalties. The company is strongly oriented towards supporting manufacturing and fine chemicals partners to achieve more sustainable products/processes-Activities related to the protection of intellectual property and/or the licensing of own patents-Market surveys and evaluations on new possible areas of application of the developed know-how and on the economic and social implications related to its use to improve and expand the field of application of the developed chemical products-Development of scientific and technological research, increasing highly skilled green employment, in accordance with EU policies.
