Crumble Cottage

A holiday cottage for two that is perfect for short breaks. Situated one mile from the ancient market town of Cartmel, on a quiet no-through lane mostly used by walkers and horses. A 500 year old Cumbrian Grade II listed longhouse nestles into the hillside, and attached is Crumble cottage a haven of peace and tranquillity but not that far from the madding crowd. Stewart and Sarah created Crumble Cottage by converting an old milking byre. In doing most of the work themselves they were able to retain lots of character and originality, re-furbishing and re-using existing wood and stone. They live in the main cottage and are on hand to make the most of your stay.
