Cruzeiro Mine is a gemstone mining company started in 1940 with the aim of transforming tourmaline production with high quality standards and sustainable extraction. We are involved in all stages of the tourmaline value chain, from extraction in the mine to delivery to the end consumer, guaranteeing the origin, quality and legality of each gemstone, each accompanied by a certificate of origin. Our efforts are not just limited to producing exceptional gems; we are also deeply committed to the economic and social development of the communities where we operate. In addition to employing more than 150 workers during periods of high demand, we contribute to the preservation of the environment through the use of renewable energy and sustainable mining practices that minimize environmental impact. We pride ourselves on being the largest tourmaline operation in the world, with an average annual production of 2 tons of tourmalines of various colors, including black, green, pink, blue (indicolite) and rubellite. In addition to tourmalines, we produce other high-quality minerals such as quartz and morganite. Our operation is characterized by a strong commitment to social and environmental governance (ESG) practices, promoting sustainability and social responsibility. We are also a supporter of preserving the history and culture of artisanal mining in Minas Gerais.
