Based in Indonesia, Culture Lab Consultancy is established as an answer to the growing need for a one-stop-shop of cultural services. With our expertise, we serve museums and art institutions worldwide to improve their concepts, exhibitions, and public programs. We aim to develop museums and art institutions' landscapes and foster them into leading institutions in the field of collection research, exhibition experiences, participative education, and exchanging perspectives. Our director and founder, Dr. Sadiah Boonstra is a curator, historian, producer Post-Doctoral researcher at VU University Amsterdam and Honorary Fellow at Melbourne University. Her research and professional interests focus on the entanglement and legacies of cultural history, heritage, and performing arts of colonial and contemporary Indonesia. Through her 15 years of experience, she has worked as an Exhibition maker at Tropenmuseum, Curator at NiNsee Amsterdam, Senior Manager of Programmes at National Gallery Singapore, and Asia Scholar at Melbourne University/Curator of Public Programmes at Asia TOPA Melbourne. She has also worked with contemporary visual and performing artists to challenge the representations of artists and their art forms on contemporary stages, such as in museums and galleries.
