Curio Preschool

Curio Preschool is a holistic learning space located in Amman, Jordan. Curio welcomes children of all abilities between the ages of 3 months and 4 years with a child-centric approach to promote their wellbeing and curiosity. The name “Curio” was chosen to reflect the single and overarching characteristic of all children: curiosity. A child’s curiosity is the driving force for their growth and learning as it enables them to build connections with the world around them. At Curio, the educational philosophy is inspired by Reggio Emilia. We offer a play and project-based curriculum at Curio. Project-based learning is one where learners collaborate to investigate and inquire into an engaging challenge or question. Children will use play-based approaches to collaborate, communicate and come to conclusions about their investigations. The learning curriculum at Curio includes overarching themes of physical development, literacy, numeracy, personal and social education, and arts and design. Curio was established not only to provide a stimulating environment for young learners but also with a unique model that serves children in underserved communities in Jordan. Through this model, enrollment of one child at Curio creates the opportunity for two other children to enroll in a quality preschool in their community.
