Curis is a publicly-traded biotechnology company (NASDAQ: CRIS) focused on the development of first-in-class and innovative therapeutics or the treatment of cancer. The Company currently has three drug candidates in development- Emavusertib (CA-4948), an orally-available, small molecule inhibitor of the IRAK4 kinase being investigated in a Phase 1 clinical trial in patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and in a separate Phase 1 trial for acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes- Fimepinostat, an orally available, small molecule inhibitor of HDAC and PI3K enzymes, which is currently being evaluated for future studies. As part of this collaboration, Curis has exclusive licenses to oral small molecule dual antagonists of PD1 and TIM3, including PDL1/TIM3 antagonist CA-327, as well as to molecules designed to inhibit the IRAK4 kinase, including CA-4948. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd, or Roche, and Genentech Inc, or Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, are commercializing Erivedge®(vismodegib) for the treatment of patients with advanced basal cell carcinoma, or BCC.
