CMI was founded in 1965 for the purpose of manufacturing complex high precision microwave, millimeterwave and sub-millimeterwave passive components and assemblies for ground and space use. It has since grown to provide full services for the design, analysis, and test of space-qualified antenna feeds and components. CMI is well-recognized throughout the industry for its high product quality and innovative design and manufacturing techniques. CMI’s sq. ft facility houses all necessary personnel and equipment. In-house capabilities include RF CAD design, mechanical/thermal design, manufacturing engineering, CNC mills, CNC lathes, wire EDMs, CNC CMM, electroforming, plating, painting, and environmental testing. CMI's quality system is certified to conform with the standards. CMI is an approved vendor for most aerospace companies including Lockheed Martin, Space Systems Loral, Orbital Sciences Corp, Boeing Satellite Systems, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Harris, NASA/JPL/GSFC, and Ball Aerospace.
