Cyber For Us

Cyber For Us is a District of Columbia based non-profit organization whose mission is to provide exposure to underserved and under-represented representation in cybersecurity. These minorities include women, people of color, indigenous peoples, and those of lower socioeconomic status. Cybersecurity professionals protect a company’s data from being compromised by an attack. We endeavor to do this by engaging students in cybersecurity competitions, and pathways from middle/high school to a cybersecurity career. We chose to focus specifically on Cybersecurity because we saw a void in current initiatives. Most initiatives focus broadly on STEM but we believe that with a more focused goal we can achieve results.
