In 2004 one of the first independent cycling studios in the country was created outside Boston, Massachusetts. The concept was founded on three key ingredients that formed a successful indoor cycling experience: great instructors, great music, and a great environment. One year later, the first CycleBar branded studio was opened where this concept was fine-tuned in Wellesley, Boston. In the fall of 2014, St. Gregory Development Group realized the enormous growth potential of CycleBar through franchising and opened CycleBar’s flagship studio in Cincinnati. It was at this point that the two original studios that inspired and formed the CycleBar brand were refreshed to create the best in- studio rider experience. In early 2015 CycleBar recruited Tevia Celli as the Director of Education to lead and develop the entire training curriculum and in- theater experience. Backed by 20 plus years of indoor cycling boutique experience, serving as both an owner and Master Instructor, in addition to owning her own studio in LA in the mid 1990’s, Tevia was an integral part of the formation of Soul Cycle. Tevia was also the West Coast Creative Director for Flywheel Sports in 2013 and consulted on several other independent boutique fitness brands.
