Founded in Swansea, Wales in 2002, CyDen is the world’s leading expert in light-based beauty technology, and global market leader for home-use Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal devices. In 2009, Cyden launched its first home-use product in the UK, and ever since it has focused on both technical innovation and clinical advancement in the pursuit of market leading products. CyDen has shown huge success globally and is widely recognised for its international impact. In 2019, Cyden was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, in recognition of its efforts in international trade. To date, over 2.5 million devices have been sold globally and our products are now sold in over 50 international territories in regions across APAC, Europe, USA and China. This growth has seen CyDen's headcount grow from 16 colleagues to 400 and open its first overseas office in Tokyo, Japan. From research and development to product testing, we look at every step of the product journey. We never create a product unless it has a customer benefit. CyDen’s brand, SmoothSkin has also won global recognition, including a category win in the Allure Best of Beauty Awards 2021 and features in Forbes, Cosmopolitan, Vogue, The Independent and Harpers Bazaar.
