Czech Phil Foundation

The Czech Phil Foundation was jointly established in August 2023 by music lovers and friends of the Czech Philharmonic, Hana Dvořáková, Jiří Hašek, and Pavel Kysilka as an organization that serves the first Czech orchestra. Inspired by the longstanding tradition of Czech classical music and aware of the importance of music for education and cultivation of Czech society, as well as the potential of the Czech Philharmonic to be a first-class ambassador of Czech culture abroad, the founders decided—following the example of the world's best orchestras and philanthropic traditions—to bring to life a foundation as a permanent institution that will provide long-term maximum support in the following areas- Artistic growth and organizational development of the Czech Philharmonic - Artistic growth and organizational development of cultural organizations belonging to the Czech Philharmonic community - Preservation of the artistic legacy of individuals who have contributed to the Czech Philharmonic - Ensuring good conditions for the artistic growth and development of young musicians, composers, and conductors - Fostering a love for music in the public, especially among children and young people - Development of additional initiatives that serve music in general, and particularly the global tradition of Czech music
