D C Ross was a toolmaking and fineblanking company that finished trading in 2020. As specialists in fine blanking technology, we created fully customized, premium quality precision tools to produce parts for our customers around the globe. D C Ross makes precision stamping tools and parts for safety-critical components or where quality must be of the highest level. We excel at thinking outside the square and developing innovative solutions to technical problems. With our integrated operation from tool design to manufacturing to delivery, we are able to innovate right through the process to achieve the best results from day one. We provide consistent dimensional control every time - creating highly accurate components from virtually any malleable metal type. Our technology allows us to include countersinks, teeth, extrusions, semi-pierces, weld projections, coined chamfers, counterbores or offsets in your components, giving you the perfect part every time. Our team of designers and precision engineers pride themselves on creating innovative, customized solutions for our clients. That means keeping up-to-date with the latest design software and technology and investing time and money into research and development to push the boundaries of fine blanking capability. To back this up we work closely with key suppliers of heat treating, coating and plating services, particularly in Melbourne, Australia where much of our automotive work has historically ended up. Our head office is located in Dunedin, New Zealand – in the heart of the city’s industrial center, Kaikorai Valley.
