Dahari

Dahari was created in 2013 to support rural communities to restore the ecosystems of the Comoro Islands. Our team of 60 implements three models across the islands of Anjouan and Grande Comore: a forest programme which signs conservation agreements with farmers to protect key areas for biodiversity and water provisioning; an agroforests programme that provides agricultural support to farmers planting over trees per year in their fields; a marine programme focused on supporting fishers to implement a network of community-led no-take zones.
