Dahlem Conservancy
The Dahlem Conservancy is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) nature center located in Jackson County. Our mission is to provide environmental education and outdoor experiences to the people of south central Michigan. There is 300 acres of land, covering eight different habitat types, and 5 miles of walking trails. While we do rely on donations and grants to stay open and run programs, our trails are open to the public for free 365 days a year from dawn till dusk. We are home to the Little Acorns Nature Preschool, the only nature preschool in Jackson, and regularly offer public school programs such as Annie's Big Nature Lesson. We also have community programs and events to engage donors, members, volunteers, and other patrons in how to conserve resources, why we should value nature, and what we can do in our everyday lives to make a greater environmental impact.
