DALA offers a curated selection of home, fashion, jewelry and beauty from local designers, artisans and brands. Who are we? Dala Spaces is a flagship design concept store and platform that curates the best of made in eSwatini, fashion, lifestyle and homeware. Founded by Tiwi Gondwe (Founder Maveriks) and Philippa Thorne (Founder Khokho Collection, Director Malandela’s Lifestyle Centre) Tiwi and Philippa wanted to bring together the best of homegrown eSwatini design and lifestyle brands under one roof. Our aim is to bring the best of local lifestyle products to the local market, to act as an catalyst and launch pad for local creative brands and to stimulate the creative industry through workshops, mentoring, networking and collaborations. Our store, launched in December 2020, is located at the Malandela’s Lifestyle Centre. A location renowned for its success in bringing creativity, commerce and social impact to local and regional communities. Developing the Creative Economy Dala is a developer and launch-pad for Swati designers who, through the Dala retail platform and network can grow their audience and customer base. In additional to providing a physical retail space visibility for eSwatini creative entrepreneurs, Dala also offers business development and training opportunities, through workshops, collaborations and member networking.
