Dalcon Environmental, established 1998, is recognised as Western Australia’s premier supplier of algal taxonomic and ecological services. Dalcon Environmental provides research, analytical and consultancy services in marine and freshwater ecology – specialising in algal (including cyanobacterial) ecology and taxonomy, harmful algae and algal blooms (monitoring and management) and marine and freshwater algal toxins. Dalcon Environmental is highly regarded, both nationally and internationally and has a reputation for delivering an excellent standard of service to our clients. We pride ourselves on our ability to tailor projects to suit the individual client and their desired outcomes, always taking into account any budgetary and time constraints. We consider ourselves to be a partner with respect to your project. With many of our projects relating to public health (e.g. drinking water monitoring, shellfish quality assurance), we are used to dealing with and meeting strict deadlines for results. Dalcon Environmental is the first and only organisation in Western Australia to be NATA accredited for the identification and enumeration of both planktonic and non-planktonic micro-algae and cyanobacteria from all water sources. We are ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited. This accreditation specifies the general requirements for the competence, impartiality and consistent operation of testing and calibration laboratories. As such you can rest assured all of our analytical equipment is properly and regularly maintained and calibrated, that we have QA/QC procedures in place and that all of our staff are not only highly qualified but also participate in both national and international proficiency testing programs. We possess a high-level of expertise and specialise in the identification of harmful and nuisance micro-algae from both freshwater and marine environments.
