At its core, Daltonic Films is an unconventional media production company. Our goal has been, and remains, to produce high-end film and video content while going against the grain. We challenge the notion that this requires large crews, big budgets, and excessive overhead. By recruiting a group of talented, motivated individuals, we are able to convert our passion and energy into the expression sought by our clients. Daltonic Films’ philosophy is centered around the human experience and the continued exploration of the world around us. What motivates us? What makes us tick? How can we make a positive change? Continually questioning and challenging ourselves allows our team to produce innovative and inspiring work, from a backyard story to one spanning the global landscape. With over 26 years of production experience, Daltonic Films’ founder, Ethan Steinman, has produced and directed across the media landscape. The Emmy-nominated filmmaker has shot projects from television to commercials, music videos to feature films. The St. Louis native spent a decade living between France and Argentina, broadening his vision of the world and presenting himself with new challenges. Having been exposed to distinct working methods in his adopted cultures, he incorporates aspects of them within his working style. He is now based out of Seattle, Washington.
