Dapibuset

Dapibuset is developing a modular bio-manufacturing platform that upcycles agricultural and industrial side streams into higher-value ingredients for feed, food, and future functional applications. Global food and feed systems are under increasing pressure from climate change, supply chain volatility, and inefficient use of resources. At the same time, large volumes of nutritious side streams from agriculture and food processing are underutilised or wasted. Dapibuset addresses this challenge by enabling the local conversion of these underused resources into valuable ingredients through fermentation. The platform is designed to be modular, scalable, and deployable close to where side streams are generated. This approach reduces transport needs, improves resource efficiency, and creates new value streams for producers and processors. By working directly with partners across the agri-food value chain, Dapibuset supports decentralised production models that strengthen resilience and circularity. Dapibuset’s approach combines fermentation technology with circular design to increase the value of existing resources rather than relying on new raw material extraction. Initial applications focus on animal feed, food and functional ingredient categories. By enabling local, resource-efficient bio-manufacturing, Dapibuset aims to help accelerate the transition toward a more resilient, circular, and sustainable food system - doing more with what is already available.
