With thousands of years of history, Chinese culture— with its myriad festivals and customs—is deeply interwoven into our daily lives. As our roots, traditional culture, especially its etiquette, customs and festive spirit, elevate and bring great meaning to our lives. Malaysian Chinese culture is a particularly unique and diverse form of an overseas Chinese society, and we are truly blessed that our ancestral dialects, customs and festivals are well preserved to this day. However, as times inevitably change, the traditions that are passed down from generation to generation have gradually simplified due to urbanisation and modernisation. Thus, we have created Darizi—Mandarin for "big day" or "big celebration"—to record and cherish Malaysian Chinese culture and traditions through visuals, text and sound, so that modernity and tradition may coexist and flourish. Darizi seeks to become an online media platform that perfectly combines traditional culture with modern living. With simple yet eye-opening content, the public will fall in love with traditional culture and preserve our roots together.
