Darnall Well Being

Darnall Well Being is a local, not for profit community health organisation working with people in Darnall, Tinsley and neighbouring areas to stay healthy and well. We have been part of the local community for over 25 years, supporting people to improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life. We offer a wide range of activities, one to one support and volunteering opportunities, alongside delivering health campaigns, health events, training and talks. Our work is rooted in the community and shaped by the people we support. Through our integrated programme of services, we aim to reduce health inequalities by helping people build the knowledge, confidence and resilience they need to manage their own health and wellbeing. We work alongside local partners and services to ensure support is accessible, culturally appropriate and responsive to community needs. Our greatest asset is our team of staff and volunteers. Many live in the communities we serve and bring empathy, lived experience and a deep understanding of local challenges. This “support from next door” is at the heart of everything we do. Based at Darnall Primary Care Centre, we are proud to be part of the local health system and wider community infrastructure. Whether people are looking to be more active, manage a long term condition, reduce isolation or take part in community life, we work with them to find what matters most.
