One of the greatest medical and pharmaceutical phenomena in the recent half a century in Iran is the establishment of the Darou Pakhsh Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company. In 1956 The Darou Pakhsh Company, as the most experienced domestic pharmaceutical company, was established under the title of the charity institution of Darou Pakhsh affiliated to Social Service Organization with the collaboration of the British Pharmaceutical Company called Allen & Hanburys. During the past years the Darou Pakhsh Company has been producing over 300 types of different medicines under the license of some reputed American & European companies such as Schering & MSD. Darou Pakhsh Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company (DP) is the biggest pharmaceutical company in Iran. At present, the company provides a large amount of Iran drugs and strives to meet diverse health needs of a global community. DP develops and manufactures a variety of drugs for a wide range of medical therapeutics including infertility, cardiology, contrast media agents (such as Barex), neurology and etc. As a pioneer in the medicine industry in Iran, the Export Department of D.P.M.C over 14 years of experience is now taking steps towards globalization. Despite difficulties and enormous costs, the export deparment has been able to export over 70 types of these products to more than 20 countries in the world such as: Russia, England, Austria, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Sudan, Sumalia, Turkmanistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan, Lybia and etc. The D.P.M.C as one of the forerunners in the medicine industry with its brilliant record & background has always tried to accommodate its objectives & policies in production on the basis of international pharmaceutical standards & the highest quality as much as possible. The balanced growth in quantative & qualitative indicies in the production industry of medicine products has been the turning point for this company in the past half a century.
