Dasudian is a startup for empowering industries with IoT, AI and Bigdata technologies. The founders and team members are mainly from Ericsson, IBM, BP, Huawei and other technical giants and high-ranking universities, and the company has built up from the beginning a very strong engineer and hacker culture. The products and systems of Dasudian is majorly based on Erlang and relevant distributed computing technologies, therefore the company has a prominent Erlang culture inside. Dasudian provides an IIoT (Industry Internet of Things) cloud platform for manufactures and developers to develop their IoT specific cloud applications, intelligence and big-data based business. The main technology of Dasudian platform includes proprietary IoT DataHub, Edge Intelligence and DSDB (a real-time time-series database), with which Dasudian helps the manufactures and other industry partners to connect their devices on-site and process the data in real-time, making M2M services over data flow, and constantly to implement the bigdata-driven preventive equipment maintenance, production planning and scheduling, supply chain management and customer relationship management etc. Dasudian's edge intelligence product - Flow Engine, is deployed along the assembly lines and big manufacturing machines, to predict in real-time when unexpected failures will occur or if part of a machine might malfunction prior to either of these events actually happening. It can also help improve product quality by analyzing sensor data in real-time to identify any values that fall outside of previously defined thresholds, identify root problem causes and, if desired, automatically stop the production of defective parts.
