The experience of Daya Group Companies in computing and IT dates back to 1980’s with extensive import and/or export of a wide range of commodities including IBM PS/1, Koryo Desktop PC and British Sinclair computers. In 1989, Daya System Co. and its affiliated companies were established with particular focus on introducing and promoting Oracle Data Base Management system, Distribution and Support of Intergraph products, Provision of trainings to Oracle users, software developers and H/W technicians. It became the sole distributor of IBM Aptiva PC in 1991. In a year time, in 1992, Daya Group expanded its scope to the distribution of Logitech, Franklin, and Lexmark products with which they launched the Compaq SystemPro 386 series in Iran. After a while, this successful company became the sole distributor of SQO-UNIX. Establishment of Riz-Film Company was another experience for Daya Group in the field of supporting the Eastman Kodak and Agfa Archive & ID systems, Agfa pre-Press business and Agfa digital printing system. In 1994, Daya Group found a profitable market in Toshiba laptops and printers and in 1995 the group imported Sony professional products to Iranian market. In 1997, the market`s need was led to importation of Casio brand with products such as scientific Graphic calculators, PDAs, Cameras, Projectors, etc. and in 2010 Olympus with items like Cameras, binoculars and voice recorders.
