DC127 exists to strengthen and stabilize families impacted by the foster care system in Washington, DC by mobilizing the Church to provide wraparound support. Our vision is a DC where every child has a permanent, safe, and loving home. DC127 approaches foster care holistically, supporting families who are at-risk of separation through our Communities for Families program as well as recruiting and supporting foster and kinship families through our Foster Care Support program. DC127 provides the trauma-informed training, ongoing care, and support of volunteers with the hope of disrupting cycles in the foster care system, one family at a time.
