The year 2020 has been a crazy year for everyone because of COVID-19. Many students are learning virtually because most schools have been shut down due to safety precautions. While Shreyes Kanumuru was pondering in his room to see if he could make a positive impact during this global pandemic, a brilliant idea came to his mind. Learning from home has been a challenge that all students have been facing. It has been hard to adapt to a virtual learning environment, which is why Shreyes wanted to do something about it. He started drafting ideas quickly, and he came across the idea of establishing a free online tutoring website called DCA Tutors. This organization would provide quality tutoring to students in grades K-10 so that they could achieve academic excellence. This nonprofit organization would also help students get ahead of their academics by providing tutoring in STEM courses such as human anatomy and advanced math. However, people were not only falling behind in their academics but their soft skills were also being affected as well. Meaningful and face-to-face interactions with friends and family members were not possible during this pandemic. This led to students’ communication and interpersonal skills being impacted. This is why we here at DCA Tutors offer tutoring on soft skills as well!
