De Marillac Academy

We believe all children deserve a chance to reach their potential with access to quality education. Our bustling Tenderloin, SOMA and surrounding communities are full of children and families, many of whom are recent immigrants to our country. Despite the challenges of systemic inequity in our society, the families of these ethnically diverse and culturally rich neighborhoods value education, are resourceful, resilient and committed to the success of the youth. De Marillac Academy exists to partner with families to develop the whole student so they can achieve academic success, foster their strengths and serve the community. We are an all-scholarship 4th through 8th grade Lasallian Vincentian Catholic academy located in the Tenderloin, that provides educational, personal and financial support to our students and families during their years at De Marillac, through high school and into early adulthood. Through a personalized, culturally responsive educational experience grounded in family partnerships, we encourage our students’ growth and support them on their journey into adulthood. Our vision is that our students and graduates will pursue their academic, professional and personal dreams. Through the power of community and a holistic education, they will become critical thinkers and leaders for a more fair and just society.
