Our story began in 1953 with Ugo De Rosa, a young mechanic constantly in search of detail and perfection. His talent and vision allowed us to become one of the most renowned Italian brands in the cycling industry. In 1958, Raphaël Géminiani asked Ugo De Rosa to build a bicycle for the Giro d’Italia. That moment marked our entry into professional cycling and the beginning of collaborations with some of the greatest champions in history — Rik Van Looy, Eddy Merckx, Gianni Motta, Francesco Moser, Evgenij Berzin, Moreno Argentin, Francesco Casagrande, Stefano Garzelli, and many others — consolidating De Rosa’s reputation worldwide. Since then, De Rosa has been building road, racing, and gravel bicycles with one unique soul: the heart. Still family-owned and now in its third generation, the company continues to blend Italian craftsmanship with technological innovation. Much has changed — we have grown, we export to 54 countries, we take part in international fairs, and we recently celebrated our 70th anniversary. Yet one thing remains the same: we are still a family business. And that is precisely what allows us to maintain the meticulous attention to detail that has always set us apart. We still build our bikes here, in our workshop, now under the attentive eye of Cristiano De Rosa. We are not content with simply selling bicycles: we aim to tailor a true travel companion for every rider. Each De Rosa bicycle is the result of experience, innovation, and a constant dialogue with those who choose it.
