Dearborn is a 70-year-old, leading, heavy lift / civil /structural engineering firm that specializes in: • Ground condition surveys and ground stabilization design for heavy lift and heavy transport • Tower Crane foundations and tiebacks • Engineered lift planning • Rigging engineering • Engineered “over-size” / “over-weight” (OS/OW) transportation studies • Route clearance surveys for OS/OW transport, including marine clearance and bathymetric survey, and clearance / structural survey for rail and road transport • Structural “construction” engineering, including steel erection engineering, shoring, scaffolding, and engineered piping and equipment supports and foundations • Civil “construction” engineering, including access roads, crane pads, earth retention systems and preparation • 3D mapping of underground utilities • 3D documentation of terrestrial and above ground (surface) facilities – includes laser scanning and sUAV (“drone”) data collection • Nondestructive examination (NDE) services for concrete and steel, including rope access • Concrete evaluation and repair design services Working nationally, we have an extensive client base that has us engineering construction and heavy lift / heavy transport projects in a wide variety of facilities ranging from power generating stations, wind energy sites, oil refineries, heavy manufacturing plants, and infrastructure facilities (rail, roadways, ports, and airports), along with healthcare, data centers, and other mission critical sites. We’re actively engaged in establishing an office in the greater Houston area to better assist clients along the Gulf Coast. We’re now members of the Houston Business Round Table (HBR) and are planning on having local presence established Q4 of 2023.
