deCERCA deCERCA was initially conceived in 2018 by Konstantina Stamatiadis as a contemporary art program bringing together emerging artists to exhibit, and encourage conversation and collectivity. In the following years, deCERCA became an exhibition platform under #occupiedspace, supporting collaborative relationships with artists and exhibiting their works in temporary art spaces. deCERCA San Jose On October 8, 2022, Gallery deCERCA opened its doors in a newly renovated space located in Los Yoses neighborhood, in San José, with an ambitious exhibition agenda introducing both emerging and established Costa Rican artists. deCERCA Nosara In response to a growing international audience, deCERCA recently opened its first venue outside of San José in collaboration with Hotel Sendero in Nosara, Costa Rica. Since January 2023, three solo and group exhibitions and subsequent acquisitions have confirmed our belief that, once introduced and supported, Costa Rican artists can garner an international collector base.
