Decipher Professional Corporation is truly a boutique law firm of the 21st century: armed with both the expertise and experience to handle even the most complex legal matters, and yet small enough to respond to clients’ needs with agility and speed. Decipher was founded by David Anthony, a lawyer, mediator and facilitator with 15 years of experience helping clients manage and resolve conflicts. David has extensive experience and training, gained both locally and internationally, and is a member of both the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. David's formal education includes obtaining a law degree (J.D.) from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ryerson University. In addition, David studied law internationally at the prestigious National University of Singapore. David’s practical experience began in when he acted as a mediation assistant on the highly publicized dispute surrounding the construction of the $200 million (U.S. dollars), National Museum of the American Indian by the Smithsonian Museum on the National Mall in Washington D.C. Over the years David has acted as both a litigator and mediator for countless disputes, and represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants at all levels of Court in the Province of Ontario. Decipher advises and acts as litigation counsel for clients in the following areas- Corporate/Commercial- Real Property- Family- Construction Lien- Estate; and - Employment. In addition to client advocacy, Decipher also acts as corporate counsel for various companies. David utilizes his broad litigation experience and business background to anticipate potential problems for clients and attempts to minimize same through careful legal drafting.
