Better Decisions - Better Lives Our Mission: Improving the lives of young people by empowering them with effective decision skills.* We value the individual’s right to make his or her own decisions.* We aim to teach how to decide, not what to decide.* We respect the challenge for all learners in developing the wide range of competencies necessary to be a skilled decision maker, including: awareness of self and others; managing uncertainty; thinking critically and creatively; awareness and resistance to decision traps; and the exercise of appropriate self- control.* We believe significant decisions require conscious, actionable thought utilizing both “head and heart”.* All decisions can benefit from the skills and habits which result from decision education.
