Deed Poll Office provides a service to people who want to change their name in the U.K. We are also an issuer of change of name deeds, more commonly known as deed polls. A deed poll is the legal document you need to have all your official documents and records — such as your passport, driving licence, bank accounts, and so on — updated in your new name. We can also advise you on how to change your child's name, and we will help work out for you who needs to give their consent for your child's name to be changed, and what to do if the parents don't all agree. Our service is secure, private, and confidential — the deed polls we produce are not registered in a central location and they are not available for public inspection, and we have a strict privacy policy in place which governs the use of the personal data we get.
