Deenabandhu Trust

Deenabandhu Trust is a non-profit organization (NGO) and was registered in India in 2008 and in USA in 2006. It is an initiative by a group of professionals, mostly engineers, living in India and abroad to “Give Back to the Society”. Deenabandhu Trust is an organization committed to excellence, with a clear vision and a passion for ensuring that every child receives his or her right to education, health and opportunity. Our mission is to empower and enable every individual who wishes to make a positive difference in the life of the underprivileged child. Currently, Deenabandhu Trust conducts its projects in 25 schools in WB and 15 schools in Orissa. The projects are targeted at making underprivileged children more “employable” through education and skill-based training. Deenabandhu Trust along with its partner HMRC developed a unique low-cost science innovation kit for the STEM program. It is customised after understanding the local school syllabus, student’s understanding and grasping level through baseline assessment. It integrates textbook learning, digital learning, activity-based STEM learning and Innovation to solve real-life problems into a seamless learning process. The list of experiments is divided into 3 buckets: “Must Have” (in line with school syllabus), “Should Have” (Application of School Syllabus) & “Could Have” (Electronics & Robotics). Conduct Teachers Training and Empowerment & Maintain Helpline. The program is Sustainable, Scalable & Replicable.
