Defi Toronto

This is a group for anyone interested in learning about decentralized finance (DeFi) applications built on public permissionless blockchains like Ethereum, Bitcoin, Cosmos, and others. DeFi applications include decentralized stablecoins, payments, DEXs, Automated Market Makers (AMM), lending, insurance, derivatives, Automated Asset Managers (AAMs), Liquid Staking Derivatives, and more. We're moving past the idea of just a "meetup". We're a community focused on DeFi education and a platform for emerging DeFi startups to showcase their protocols, dapps, and research. Our monthly virtual and in-person events allow members to create important connections and learn from one another. Founders can find cofounders, raise capital, exchange insights, and find early adopters. Our community events promote learning, networking, and intellectual discourse. We've hosted speakers that include founders and leaders from some of the top projects in DeFi and web3 infra: Aave, MakerDAO, dYdX, Element Finance, Gitcoin, Polygon, Goldfinch, Maple Finance, The Graph, Pods Finance, Entropy, HOPR, DXDao, Developer DAO, Axie Infinity, Covalent, Zapper, Set Protocol, Conflux, Augur, Volmex, MetisDAO, New Order DAO, PoolTogether, Chainlink, Radicle, Melon Protocol, Loopring, Opyn, and many more.
