Deft CAD CAM has worked in nearly every major sector of Engineering. Commercial Aerospace and Mil-Aero to F1 Motorsport, manufacturing sub-micron precision components, to the more creative Exterior and Interior Automotive Design Industry. We have the experience to address any manufacturing engineering problem with a solution. Deft CAD CAM is also a member of Silverstone Technology Cluster; a networking group centered around the motorsport technology industry. With over 24 years of CAD CAM knowledge, we have experience with nearly every major CAM package and are able to troubleshoot any programming issues. Deft CAD CAM currently uses Openmind Hypermill ® / HyperCAD-S ® to produce NC code for any given machine. Deft CAD CAM is headed by Michael Umhofer, an experienced, results driven engineer. Michael obtained his Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree from Moorpark College California in He has been instrumental in many Aerospace projects such as the Joint Strike Fighter F-135 Program, working with Pratt and Whitney. Michael has worked with SpaceX, engineering and manufacturing components used in the first Dragon Spacecraft to be launched by a private company to the ISS. More recently he has worked with Mercedes AMG HPP on the Project ONE Hypercar I.C.E. and Electric Drives as well as the current V6 Turbo Hybrid Formula 1® engines that have powered Lewis Hamilton as a 6 time F1® World Champion
