Degli Esposti Architetti

Degli Esposti Architetti is a leading partnership practicing architecture, masterplanning and infrastructure design, founded in 2006 by Lorenzo Degli Esposti and Paolo Lazza, based in Milan. Degli Esposti Architetti’s research is rooted in the canon of Milanese modern architecture, which is intended as a fundational source within the contemporary discourse. The project of Degli Esposti Architetti is on the urban palazzo (both public ones, such as institutional, school, and sport complexes; and private ones, as residential and commercial buildings and headquarters), thanks to both a broad practical experience (several built works and commissions) and fundamental studies on precedents throughout history. Degli Esposti Architetti’s project takes also the form of larger interventions (groups of buildings; urban design projects and masterplanning; town and regional planning; infrastructure design), able to transform and enhance the symbolic and material structure of the urban and landscape contexts of the project. The principal projects in which the firm Degli Esposti Architetti is involved include the design of the new Liceo artistico Giovanni Gastel, part of the Istituto Frisi in Milan (PNRR); Cesena Sport City, a constellation of new sport facilities in the whole municipal area, and related open spaces, commissioned by the City of Cesena and funded by the Presidency of the Council of Council of Ministers of the Italian Government; several real estate private developments in Milan, as the sq ft urban development Zona B di recupero R7.5. Degli Esposti Architetti got nominations in Premio Nazionale di Architettura, edition 2020 (for Residenze Carlo Erba) and edition 2025 (for Casa Eurinome), by MAXXI and Triennale Milano. Casa Tersicore was winner of 2021 BigSEE Architecture Award. Lorenzo Degli Esposti was nominee in Premio Presidente della Repubblica, Accademia di San Luca, Roma, 2024.
