Degmeda – a name that opened a new chapter in Shou Sugi Ban (charred wood) boards in Europe and beyond. In 2018, we were among the first in Europe to produce Shou Sugi Ban (charred wood) boards at large scale. From the start, our goal was clear – not only to manufacture, but to help create spaces that inspire today and endure for generations. Today, architects, designers, and visionaries worldwide trust our name. As of 2025, our work has reached more than 3,550 projects worldwide, with total production exceeding m². We now have the capacity to produce up to m² of carefully crafted charred wood every week – ensuring not only volume, but also uncompromising quality.
