Delhi Capitals

The Delhi Capitals is one of the eight founding teams that plays in the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL). Co-owned by the GMR Group and the JSW Group, Delhi Capitals was established in 2008 as Delhi Daredevils before embracing a new avatar in December 2018. The Arun Jaitley Stadium in the national capital is the team's home ground. Former India cricketers Venugopal Rao and Hemang Badani are Director of Cricket and Head Coach respectively (IPL), while Axar Patel is the men's captain. In 2023, Delhi Capitals became one of the five founding teams to participate in the Women’s Premier League. The team is currently captained by Australian legend Meg Lanning and coached by Jonathan Batty. The team has reached the final in the first three seasons of the competition.
