Delilah Burluxe

Burluxe™: Sophisticated and elegant bodywear for the stage: burlesque, boylesque, drag and cabaret accessories, all handmade in New York city by Delilah. Delilah is a tomboyish girl-next-door with a ruby-red pout, a million megawatt smile and a pair of seamed stockings up to her eyelashes. Her saucy, gently comic set pieces range from the classic to the bizarre. Delilah is adept at inventing characters to tie into themed events. Delilah’s burlesque career began in in Vancouver Canada. In 2002, Delilah relocated to the United Kingdom to pursue a master’s degree in photography, and has since been performing all over the UK and Ireland, as well as in France, Sweden, Canada and the United States. Once a performer with the world’s smallest mobile peep-show, Wyndham’s Wandering Woo-Woo Wagon, she has gone on to appear at London Fashion week shows, as well Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Latitude, Reading, Leeds, Tease-O-Rama, the New York Burlesque Festival, the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival, The Ministry of Burlesque Awards, Cabaret Verdalet, The Toronto Burlesque festival and the Great Boston Burlesque Expo. She has been interviewed for Real Magazine, featured in a photo spread in Viewpoint and has appeared in countless publications in Canada, the US and the UK. In addition to her busy performing schedule, she also models, and was the 2004 model for State of Undress Lingerie. She has appeared in music videos, television,(including a BBC3 mockumentary) and is being currently participating in a documentary on the British burlesque scene. In addition to these endeavours she was also a member of the successful London-based burlesque troupe: BurlyQ: A Queer cabaret, as well as DJ collective Titty Titty Bang Bang! Delilah is a full time burlesque and performance artiste.
