Den Sorte Havre

Producing the forgotten ancient grain, black oat, Den Sorte Havre's goal is simple; we want to bring black oats back. Why? In our opinion black oats are both healthier and better tasting. The story of black oats in Norway probably dates back as far as the viking age, way before white oats ever came to the market. Using some of the finest Norwegian manufacturing techniques, Den Sorte Havre uses the same mill that made Bjørn's oatmeal famous. Within two years Den Sorte Havre have been well received. Being among the top 6 out of 450 contending local food manufacturers for "Matskattstipendet 2017" proves it. Currently Den Sorte Havre is being sold by close to 500 Norwegian grocery stores and hotels.
