Derum Architects

DERUM architects is a young Italian architecture, urbanism and design firm. Founded and headquartered in Rome in 2016, its led by Americo Conte, Luca Marseglia, Luigi Palomba and Claudio Peppi. The structure and material are what DERUM's architectural research is based on; pure sculptural forms only accessible through rare net cuts or subtle fissures. The inspiration behind this architecture is that of surface continuity, readable as volumes of accentuated three-dimensionality, it is built to communicate a character of permanence. Our architecture is characterized by the material quality of the surfaces, the scale and the use of natural materials left on sight. DERUM is a contemporary language of an ancient, solid and powerful masonry architecture.
