At Desert Creek we are committed to providing a sustainable, ethical and eco-conscious lapidary service. We hand cut our cabochons in the UK and wherever possible use up-cycled materials. Our favourites at the moment are slag glass, such as Sieber Agate, a byproduct of the copper smelting process, Surfite, which is overspill resin from surfboard glassing and Fordite, built up automative paint-overspray. We are also creating handcrafted sterling silver jewellery, using recycled silver and sometimes incorporating our cabochons.
