Desertification Fresco

Educational and engaging workshop based on collective intelligence to raise awareness about of the fight against desertification, land degradation and drought. OUR MISSION: Raise global awareness about desertification through interactive workshops and inspire participants to engage in local action by exploring existing solutions- Sessions of 90min or 3 hours - Facilitation / Training / Support with professional facilitators : Companies, communities, organisations, education - Workshops led by volunteers for all audience. OUR VALUES: Respect for people, nature and science, with collaboration and transparency at the core of our actions. OUR STORY: The Desertification Fresco is an Franco-Ivorian NGO founded by Delphine Lahmar-Thery and Benjamin Rombaut in January 2024. Our initial project is the result of a partnership between our Co-founder Delphine, the start up Sand to Green, the CGIAR, and the COP 15 Desertification presidency to run an awareness workshop during the World Food Forum in oct 2023. The enthusiasm of the participants was immediate and motivated us to continue this journey and develop a second solutions-focused part of this serious game, which was fully launched at the Change Now Summit at the end of March 2024. Our international team already includes more than 30 committed facilitators across Côte d'Ivoire, Morocco, Mali, Senegal, Burkina Faso, France, Germany and China.
