DesiHeart Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping neurodiverse students explore emotions, express themselves, and strengthen social and communication skills through performance. In addition to our performance-based programs, we are now developing ExpressAI an AI-powered AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) app to further support communication for individuals with speech challenges. This innovative tool will combine accessibility, design, and emotional expression to create a more personalized and empowering way for users to share their voices. Established in 2020, our programs give students a safe, creative space to practice speaking, build confidence, and connect with others. For many participants, including those with speech delays, performance activities provide a fun and encouraging way to develop communication skills, regulate emotions, and express feelings that may otherwise be hard to share.
