The Directorate of Employment and Training (DET) is a largest skilling organization in the Gujarat state which functions under the ambit of Labor and Employment Department, Government of Gujarat. The organization was formed in the year 1971 by amalgamation of the Employment Wing of Labor Commissioner and the Vocational Training Schemes of the Directorate of Technical Education. DET has been in the forefront of implementing various training and employment programs with the aim of helping people get quality training and sustainable livelihoods.
