Refined Oil =Slow Poison Our Ancestors for last years have been using traditional coconut, sesame, groundnut and mustard oil and lived very healthy long & happy lives. Serious health problems started happening recently when we shifted from traditional oil to expeller made Refined Oil. Refined oil is harmful for our health as it undergoes so many chemical processes like heating at very high temperature of 250’ to improve shelf life, chemical bleaching to make it transparent and odourless more importantly adulteration with paraffin wax and argemone oil to make huge profits. In refining process all the valuable nutrients, vitamins and minerals are lost and what we consume is just a chemical. Natural taste of oil is also lost in refining process. Refined oil increases Bad cholesterol (LDL) in our body which causes joint pain, heart block, obesity and anaemia. Any oil machine needs 2.5 kg groundnuts to get 1 litre oil.(1 kg processed ground nut= 90 Rs and 1 litre groundnut oil= 110 Rs including tax, labour and commissions) How is this possible? Research says 40-60 % Chemical Adulteration Is present in every litre of refined oil sold in market.
