DG Imports Limited is a UK fresh produce importer with its head office based in Rickmansworth, north west London. Set up by its owner and managing director David Greaney in 1995 the company´s business has grown substantially over the past years. From our original roots as a predominantly retail focused stone fruit and grape supplier to the UK multiples, the company has continued to expand and diversify into supplying other sectors of the industry namely Wholesale, Catering and Foodservice. In December 2006 we opened our Spanish subsidiary office, DG Imports SL. This widened the company´s portfolio with an effective direct-supply based salad & vegetable business to complement its core fruit lines. This achieved greater economies of scale in both its buying power and logistical approach. The move has strengthened both our customer and grower relationships and provided a clearer understanding of their changing requirements while at the same time developing a more cost effective and efficient direct source of supply. Backed by strong balance sheet performances, DGI continues to look for new opportunities across the globe for our customer base through constant investment within the business. In 2009 we began growing as well as importing from our own farms in southern Spain. Investment on this scale, alongside an experienced team of individuals has allowed the company to grow from strength to strength. A truly worldwide operator, DGI works with growers/exporters in South America, South Africa, India, Morocco, Turkey, and Europe. As a company we are continually looking for new opportunities whilst being fair to our suppliers and protecting the environment for our future.
