Dhaka Half Marathon

The Dhaka Half Marathon is a unique opportunity for runners (both professionals and amateurs) from around Bangladesh and the world to run together and enjoy the beauty of the Bangladeshi capital. It is an annual winter event that brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate navigating life in one of the world’s most bustling cities. The scenic route takes runners past some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks and historic buildings. The predominantly flat and fast course makes it ideal for beginners, seasoned runners, family and friends. Dhaka Half Marathon is presented by Dhaka Run Lords; an organization with a mission to inspire people through running. The inaugural edition of the Dhaka Half Marathon held in 2018 received a great response, bringing together 650 runners of family, friends, colleagues and foreign guests to enjoy building a health conscious community while taking in the picturesque scenery around Hatirjheel lake. The second edition held in March 2019 was testament to the growing enthusiasm for the Dhaka Half Marathon, bringing together 1250 runners of all ages, experience levels and walks of life.
